OVERVIEW

Then I Met You, a leader in contemporary Korean skincare, is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive our retail channel expansion through hands-on execution and tactical planning. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the marketing team to align strategies and foster sales growth, establish and nurture relationships with buyers across retail and online platforms, and utilize your analytical skills to track sales and market trends.

  • Location: Brooklyn, New York (Dumbo)
  • Work Model: Hybrid Role (in office a minimum of 3 days a week, Tues-Thurs)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement sales strategies and promotional campaigns that drive revenue growth in retail and online channels.
  • Actively manage and expand relationships with buyers across retail and online platforms, ensuring consistent communication and timely execution of initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends, track sales performance, and generate regular reports to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure seamless product availability and distribution to meet retailer demands.
  • Support negotiations with retail partners, contributing to discussions on product placement, promotions, and pricing.
  • Execute in-store and online marketing and merchandising plans, working closely with retail partners to optimize brand visibility and customer engagement.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market dynamics to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to provide insights on trends

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-8 years of experience in business development, B2B sales, or marketing.
  • Proven track record in executing retail channel strategies and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market insights.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a solutions-driven mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • CPG industry experience required; Beauty industry experience (preferred)
  • Amazon Retail Channel experience required
  • General retail channel experience required
  • Sephora, Ulta and Shopify platform experience preferred

In accordance with the applicable law, the following represents a good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum compensation range for this position:

  • The estimated annual pay range for this role is $70,000 - $105,000. There may be future opportunities for continued pay progression based on continued strong performance in the role.
