As we continue to grow, we are seeking a meticulous and nimble Director of People Operations to join our team.

  • Location: Dumbo, Brooklyn (Hybrid: 4 days in office, Monday-Thursday)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Champion a positive and inclusive company culture, driving initiatives that align with our values, foster engagement, and promote a sense of belonging among all team members.
  • Develop and implement strategies to elevate team engagement and performance, leveraging data-driven solutions and people development initiatives.
  • Oversee talent acquisition processes, ensuring we attract and retain top talent aligned with our company culture and values.
  • Design and execute performance management systems that foster a high-performance culture, providing clear pathways for career development and growth.
  • Lead the integration of AI and technology into people operations to enhance efficiencies and effectiveness in HR processes.
  • Create and implement learning and development programs that support the continuous growth and development of our team members.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives, contributing to the overall success and growth of the company.

Six-Month Expectations:

  • Establish and promote cultural alignment initiatives, ensuring that all team members understand and embody our core values, and fostering an environment of collaboration and respect.
  • Establish a comprehensive understanding of our People Ops systems and processes, with the ability to train and guide others.
  • Gain a deep understanding of our benefits programs and company policies to autonomously interpret and resolve issues. Administer all benefits programs and maintain policies with a high standard for compliance and best practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to our People processes, focusing on team member experience, automation, and scalability, while balancing strategy and execution within our small, agile team.
  • Draft clear and thoughtful team member communications, addressing sensitive inquiries with timeliness and detail.
  • Manage relationships with benefits, systems, and compliance vendors, handling People Ops cases across internal and external contacts and tools.
  • Implement key People Ops initiatives focusing on team engagement, talent acquisition, and learning and development.
  • Develop a data-driven approach to measuring and improving team member performance and satisfaction.
  • Initiate the integration of AI and technology into people operations, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency.

Twelve-Month Expectations:

  • Successfully embed a culture of recognition, learning, and continuous improvement, resulting in increased team member satisfaction, retention, and alignment with the company's mission and values.
  • Optimize and improve our People Ops processes and benefits administration to better serve our team members, supporting scalability and compliance, and overseeing HR projects, audits, and data reconciliation.
  • Analyze data from internal surveys, performance and compensation cycles, and other People Ops initiatives, developing and presenting recommendations to the executive leadership team.
  • Successfully execute talent acquisition and development initiatives, resulting in a stronger and higher skilled workforce.
  • Develop and maintain trackable people analytics, measuring key metrics to inform organizational decisions and track organizational health.
  • Further optimize HR processes and systems with the integration of AI and technology, enhancing overall operational effectiveness.
  • Master company payroll tools to confidently act as secondary payroll support, capable of processing payroll in all systems and locations.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of HR experience, with a proven track record in people operations and HR leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Prior experience with ADP HRIS tools is a plus
  • Prior benefits admin experience, with strong understanding of HR and benefits compliance and best practices, and time off/leave regulations.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations in the US.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire team members at all levels.
  • Experience in implementing and optimizing HR technologies and systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and improvements in HR initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong critical thinking abilities, with proactive problem solving and research skills.
  • Experience in the design and implementation of scalable HR processes and programs aiming to promote and retain best-in-class teams.
  • Prior experience providing HR support for both exempt and nonexempt team members.

In accordance with the applicable law, the following represents a good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum compensation range for this position:

The estimated annual pay range for this role is $120-140K.

  • There may be future opportunities for continued pay progression based on continued strong performance in the role.
